As a JobOptions program participant you can expect an active, employment-focused program that helps you move toward your work goal. A dedicated employment coach works with participants in a group setting and mentors their skill development in one-on-one sessions. Participants learn, have fun, and become more confident in their skills and abilities.
This could be the right program for you if you are:
The next program begins on July 2, 2012. If you are interested in participating, please call our office at 250 286-3436 and register to attend the next information session.
If you are an employer who is interested in hiring a motivated employee with access to a wage subsidy, call Opportunities and speak with one of the JobOptions BC Coaches at 250-286-3436.
JobOptions BC participants bring motivation to work, the necessary work attire, and focused skills to be successful on the job. In addition, a wage subsidy is available with a minimum of 4 weeks of employment. As with any new employee, there is a training period; the wage subsidy reimburses the employer for 50% of the employee's wages during this training period. The wage subsidy claim process has been simplified and requires little of the employer's time to receive a prompt payment.
Funding for this program is provided through the Canada – British Columbia Labour Market Agreement.
